We had a back & forth on his site about both incidents & I lost a lot of respect for him over them & realized he wasn't quite what he tried to represent. It could be his ticket to profitability at the 2023 WSOP and also to. I also used to be a fan of DN, & even have an account on FCP to this day, until he backed Phil Ivey in his golf scam thing with Ram Vaswani then attacked Phil Gordon over some stupid **** with Eric Lindgren & an appearance on Poker After Dark & an article Phil wrote before appearing on the program. Theres no doubt that Negreanus summer has been ho-hum thus far, but he is quietly having some success in small field events. The funny part of the story was he accused me of angling & got verbally abusive to the point he was 86'd for a month when the rest of the table laughed at him because he was known for having no problem with angling anybody.
I woke up with AA & then pretended to be torn that he put me in a tough spot before going all-in for $500+ & got insta-called by KK. The guy UTG 2or3, with about $800 in front of him, made a bigger than normal raise, even for this table, then pretended it was an accident & it folded around to me in the BB. I was playing in a 1-2NL game in my local casino that played big when this exact scenario happened. He specifically referenced cheating at golf as a necessity. He's also said elsewhere in defense of Torelli that angles are a natural part of edge seeking. Agreed that AK vs A4 hand wasn't that big a deal but it's definitely an angle of sorts.
